German carmaker Porsche has handed additional responsibilities for its India business to Ashutosh Dixit, who currently holds the position of Market Development Director at Porsche Middle East & Africa (PME), according to sources with knowledge of the matter.
"In the interim, Ashutosh Dixit, currently 'Market Development Director' at Porsche Middle East & Africa, has taken on the additional responsibility as the Brand Director of Porsche India," the company was quoted as saying by ETAuto.
Dixit will manage the India business alongside his existing role following the exit of India Director Manolito Vujicic, who is departing after completing his tenure. The transition comes at a point when Porsche is on a strong growth trajectory in India. The luxury marque posted record sales in 2024, crossing the 1,000-unit threshold for the first time. Its current India lineup spans both internal combustion engine and electric models, including the Cayenne, Macan, and Taycan.
Dixit joined Porsche in April 2025, where he led market development efforts. In his expanded remit, he is expected to concentrate on strengthening the brand's presence in India, growing its dealer network, and pushing further into the premium segment.
His career spans several well-regarded automotive names, including Audi AG, Volkswagen, Audi FBU, and Skoda India, among others. He holds an MBA in Sales & Marketing, International Business, and General Management from IIM Indore (1995) and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics & Computer Science from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (1993). His areas of expertise cover strategy and business management, sales operations, brand and product marketing, network development, business consulting, and project management.
The broadening of his role signals Porsche's intent to maintain cohesive leadership across its priority growth markets.
